John Carter Brown Library, Brown University, Cabinet Es776 ByJ (2).<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I have <a title=\"Macintosh: \u201ca man of mystery\u201d\" href=\"https:\/\/inneskeighren.com\/williammacintosh\/?p=54\">written before<\/a> about William Macintosh&#8217;s business relationship with William Johnstone (later <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sir_William_Pulteney,_5th_Baronet\">William Pulteney<\/a>), with whom he co-owned a plantation on Dominica. I had\u00a0been\u00a0unaware, however, about the specific details of their holding.
