{"id":912,"date":"2021-02-04T20:28:16","date_gmt":"2021-02-04T20:28:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/inneskeighren.com\/williammacintosh\/?p=912"},"modified":"2021-02-04T20:28:16","modified_gmt":"2021-02-04T20:28:16","slug":"introducing-team-macintosh-4-0","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/inneskeighren.com\/williammacintosh\/?p=912","title":{"rendered":"Introducing Team Macintosh 4.0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I have been fortunate, at various intervals during the nine-or-so years I have been working on this project, to be able to draw on the assistance of others\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/inneskeighren.com\/williammacintosh\/?p=428\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"428\">Team Macintosh<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/inneskeighren.com\/williammacintosh\/?p=552\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"552\">Team Macintosh 2.0<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/inneskeighren.com\/williammacintosh\/?p=735\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"735\">Team Macintosh 3.0<\/a>\u2014in producing transcriptions of Macintosh&#8217;s correspondence. I am very pleased, therefore, to be able to introduce the latest recruit to the extended &#8220;Team Macintosh&#8221; family, Jaz Bigden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/inneskeighren.com\/williammacintosh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Photo-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"340\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/inneskeighren.com\/williammacintosh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Photo-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-909\" srcset=\"https:\/\/inneskeighren.com\/williammacintosh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Photo-3.jpg 340w, https:\/\/inneskeighren.com\/williammacintosh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Photo-3-170x300.jpg 170w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 340px) 100vw, 340px\" \/><\/a><figcaption>Jaz Bigden (aka Team Macintosh 4.0)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Jaz is currently enrolled in the MSc in Global Futures in the Department of Geography at Royal Holloway, University of London and, as part of a placement module, will be working to produce transcriptions of letters Macintosh sent from Grenada in the mid 1770s. This is a period that followed Macintosh&#8217;s very public clashes with Grenada&#8217;s former governor, Robert Melvill, and encompassed his time as Comptroller of His Majesty&#8217;s Customs for the Port of Grenville. It was, in that sense, a time that saw Macintosh&#8217;s role evolve from being an agitator to a colonial authority.
